Thread of Fancy

I found a bargin bin of thread in my local (soon to be gone) wool shop that has all the odd colours that the usual costomers are not really interested in. So I found all really interesting shades and this is just a sample of the pretties!
I could have bought a lot more and even though they are in the bargin bin a 70p each (for 100m polyester thread) my limited bugdet would not be budged. (especially as I've been naughty the past few weeks buying fantastic over-designed kitchen equipment - a weakness of mine).
I've also been knitting these last few days.

I bought some yarn over the internet (which was nice) from a mill in Bradford so it was not the usual stuff that can be bought in the shops. Above is a 50/50 mix of wool and silk which was £2.50 for a 200g cone (approx. 2ply thichness) that I'm currently knitting on 1.5mm needles.
The trouble im having is that I knit for the pleasure of knitting so I have no idea most of the the time what the end result will be.
This will probably turn into a little purse. Then I may knit a matching bag.
All on the smallest needles? Yes...
... I was obbsessed with super chunky wool to be knitted on 20mm needles and that was irritating because of the sheer lack of lenght on the wool to make anything so now I'm at the polar opposite of really fine yarn that I can make into anything becasue it's so long but will take ages to make anything.

I will find a middle ground one day..
